A bit about Al-nisa

Al-nisa is a New York based actor and voiceover artist. Al-nisa is derived from An-Nisa’ which means "The Women" in Arabic, so it's only fitting she became an actress. Growing up in Newark, New Jersey, she attended Arts High School before receiving a BFA in Acting from Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, she spent a year studying at Shakespeare's Globe in London, with master practitioners including Tony nominated Tim Carroll. When she is not traveling or being a galette gorl, she enjoys taking on new hobbies and participating in new play development. Al-nisa has had the pleasure of working with Ensemble Studio Theatre, Playwrights Realm, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, and Huntington Theatre Company, to name a few. She is also a teaching artist working with organizations like Culture for One and Naked Angels where she shares her love of exploration and play through the art of storytelling with New York City youth.
